Peanut Butter Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is the type of cookie you make when you need to impress someone.

Maybe you’re meeting your partner’s family for the first time. Moms are hard to impress, so you better be prepared. These will do the trick.
Maybe it’s something work-related. These will get you promoted. For sure.
Or maybe you’re trying to make some new friends.
I’m terribly socially awkward. This is why I bake. Cookies make friends.
And I guarantee these cookies will get you some new friends.

Makes 18-24 cookies.

  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 7 tbsp. creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ¾ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2-2¼ cups AP flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • heaping 1 cup crushed pretzels

Preheat oven to 325℉.
Combine butter and peanut butter and mix until creamy. Add sugars and cream together until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, egg, and  egg yolk. On low speed, sift in baking soda and 2 cups flour (add additional ¼ cup if dough is too wet). Fold in chocolate chips, then fold in crushed pretzels. Scoop dough onto greased baking sheet about 2-3″ apart. Bake 10 minutes until cookies are golden brown.
