Kitchen Sink Cookies

Kitchen sink cookies (everything cookies, monster cookies, etc.) are by far my favorite type of cookie. Without a doubt. I don’t think you can go wrong with a cookie that you completely customize! In this batch, I put chocolate chips, crushed walnuts, coconut, and rice krispies. But just add in whatever floats your boat.

Makes two to three dozen cookies.

  • 2 sticks butter, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1½ cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1½ cup flour
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1½ cups oats
  • ½ cup each mix-in (chocolate chips, m&m’s, coconut, pecans, walnuts, etc.)

Preheat oven to 375℉.
Cream butter and sugars together until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then add in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; fold into butter-sugar mixture. Fold in oats, then any mix-ins of choice. Scoop cookie dough balls onto cookie sheet, then bake until golden brown. Cookies will take somewhere around 7 to 12 minutes to turn golden brown depending on size and ingredients.
